Our shoe factory is located at Monte Flor, a property dedicated to providing hope and healing to local Guatemalans in need.  We not only provide employment local Guatemalans but the main purpose of the shoe factory is to provide, free of charge, quality black leather shoes for local school children.  Children here cannot go to school without very specific and proper footwear.  And, our cobblers construct from scratch just that, quality and very durable leather shoes for these children.  Approximately once per month our cobblers give away +/-100 shoes to local children.  It is such a blessing to see the smiles on the kids faces and the smiles on our cobbler's faces from the giving/recieving of a new pair of shoes.  It is a blessing indeed.

A bonus to the shoe factory is for visiting mission teams to witness these amazing shoe artizans in action.  Another benefit for the visiting teams is to purchase a pair of flip-flops or sandals hand-made by our cobblers.  When our team members purchase a pair of shoes they are also helping to pay for school shoes for local children.  And, the smiles from the team members are just as precious to witness.
